ATI Develops Gigabit Ethernet Tool Changer Module

GB8 Tool Changer Module for GigE Vision Camera

Apex, NC, July 25, 2012

ATI Industrial Automation has developed a new Tool Changer Module for passing Gigabit Ethernet signals. Typically used with GigE vision cameras, Gigabit Ethernet supports extremely fast data transfer rates up to 1000 megabits per second and is 100 times faster than regular 10 Mbps Ethernet. The GB8 Module provides a framework for transmitting high-speed video and related control data over Ethernet networks. The new Module makes use of the new M12, X-Coded connector with twisted-shielded wire pairs to meet Cat 6 cabling requirements. Mounted GB8 modules are electrically-isolated from the Tool Changer to eliminate noise interference.

Gigabit Ethernet (GigE vision system compliant) 1 Gbps.
Meets Cat 6 requirements and 1000BASE-T standard for Gigabit Ethernet over copper wiring.
Supports Power over Ethernet (PoE).
Lighweight and small size.
Pin block sealed from moisture when coupled.
Compatible with a large selection of ATI Standard Series Tool Changer models.
M12, X-Coded, 8-pin Female Circular Connector.
